Breaking Boundaries in Feminine Care
OUR STORY
"Hi! I'm Jhalesa Seymour, Founder/CEO here at Salt.xo. I often tell people that I didn’t find Salt.xo, Salt.xo found me. Salt.xo was birthed from me living in a state of discovery. Prior to starting the company, or even making a product, I spent 7 months researching and studying natural ingredients and it’s healing properties in skin and hair, and of course - the yoni."

A Purpose-Driven Journey to Empower Women
FOUNDER'S NOTE
In 2018, with just $67 and a vision, I started my natural feminine hygiene company while studying at the University of Central Florida. My journey began with a personal struggle—like so many women, I dealt with discomfort from products that disrupted my pH balance. I would search for solutions, only to be met with options full of harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients that did more harm than good. I knew there had to be a better way.
That frustration sparked something inside me—a purpose I couldn’t ignore. I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a brand that truly cared about women’s health. I started making soap from scratch, using only the purest, most natural ingredients, because I believed women deserved products that worked with their bodies, not against them.
But this was about more than just hygiene; it was about empowerment. I wanted to create a brand that gave women their confidence back, that allowed them to feel clean, balanced, and in control of their own bodies. I wanted to set a new standard in feminine care, one that prioritized wellness, self-care, and authenticity. From day one, my goal was to impact generations—to build something that would stand apart from anything that had ever existed in this space.
I knew I could do it because God had already placed the purpose inside of me. This wasn’t just a business idea; it was a calling. What started as a small project in my college apartment has now grown into a movement of women embracing natural, effective solutions for their bodies.
Today, our brand continues to thrive, but our mission remains the same: to provide products that help women feel clean, confident, and cared for, naturally. This is more than a business—it’s a legacy of empowerment, self-love, and transformation.

What Ingredients Should Intimate Wipes Avoid (Alcohol, Fragrance, Oils)?
For intimate wipes, avoid alcohol, strong fragrance/perfume, and harsh preservatives that can sting or disrupt balance. Choose alcohol-free, low-residue, pH-considerate wipes with short ingredient lists, and use them externally only as a bridge until you can rinse with water. If a wipe burns, stop, rinse, and patch-test next time.

How Can I Reduce Odor Without Douching or Harsh Sprays?
To reduce odor without douching or perfume, keep care external-only: rinse with water, use a pea-size fragrance-free, pH-considerate wash on the vulva only, manage moisture (change damp clothes, breathable cotton), and use alcohol-free wipes between rinses. Fishy + thin gray, intense itch + clumps, green/yellow, pain/fever, or forgotten tampon = clinician. Recurrent BV/yeast? Ask about clinician-guided boric acid.

What Causes Sudden Vaginal Odor Changes, and When Is It a Red Flag?
Sudden odor often has benign causes—period blood, sweat, new workout gear, or sex. Fishy odor with thin gray discharge points to BV; yeasty/bready odor with itch and clumpy discharge points to yeast. Strong, foul, persistent odor, fever/pain, or retained tampon are red flags. Keep care external-only; don’t douche.
